Posing

Contest Prep & Posing Gurus

Posing programs are designed to start 10 – 16 weeks BEFORE your desired contest date.

*10 weeks prior to your contest is the minimum time requirement to start posing and conditioning

BIKINI

We work with you on your conditioning (muscle endurance), and your 10-second presentation routine. This is the first time the judges get to see you, so a polished relevant routine is very important. We go over the standard routine and build one that suits your personality, ability and add your flare.

We also work on your comparison round routine and your mandatory turns. The comparisons is where the judges have the opportunity to compare you with other competitors and usually place you based on your comparison presentation. Practice. Practice. Practice.

This division is extremely tricky because you walk a fine line between being toned, but not too muscular. This is why combining the workout, diet, and posing is extremely important in the Bikini competition division.

WOMEN’S FIGURE

Women’s Figure competitions are a little more universally structured when it comes down to your mandatory poses and routine. Again, we work heavily with you on your conditioning (muscle endurance), because in Women’s Figure competitions the judging and posing is a little more involved and deliberate. We work with you on your poses and turns.

The comparison round, is where the judges bring you out in a group and have the opportunity to compare you with other competitors and usually place you based on your comparison presentation. For Figure competitors we go over the requirements of this round and we will show you how to correctly pose in a manner to highlight your strong points.

Combining the diet, workouts and posing lets us align your physique with the criteria for scoring in this category which are: small degree of muscularity, they want to see muscle separation but not striations, balanced physique that is firm but not excessively lean. So, over training and over dieting really should be avoided.

MEN’S PHYSIQUE

We work with you on your conditioning (muscle endurance), and your 10-second presentation routine. This is the first time the judges get to see you, so a polished relevant routine is very important. THIS IS NOT A BODYBUILDING CONTEST, and you will be penalized for too much muscle. Overtly muscular individuals may want to enter the bodybuilding category. We go over the standard routine and build one that suits your personality, ability and add your flare.

We also work on your comparison round routine and your mandatory turns. The comparison round is where the judges have the opportunity to compare you with other competitors and usually place you based on your comparison presentation. Knowing how to showcase your physique is key to placement in this division, simply because there are so many body types in this division, you really should have a good routine ready.

MEN’S/WOMEN’S BODYBUILDING

Here is the division that started it all! We work with you on your conditioning (muscle endurance), Pre-Judging and finals posing (posing routine to music). We will help you with the music if you need help and the division rules for presenting your music.

We will have you prepared for your comparison round and your mandatory turns. The comparison round is where the judges have the opportunity to compare you with other competitors and usually place you based on your comparison presentation. We go over and practice the requirements of this round and we will show you how to correctly pose in a manner to highlight your strong points.

We help you construct a posing routine and help you select appropriate music. The routine for the finals is a chance for you to have fun not be nervous about getting on stage. We will help you feel comfortable and own your routine.
